SUMMARY:
Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the Casino complex in accordance with Grand Casino policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain all mechanical equipment in working conditions, ensures all worn parts are replaced.
- Responsible for the maintenance functions in the absence of the Shift Manager.
- Operate company vehicles as required.
- Responsible for adherence to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring that all general maintenance and repairs of minor problems throughout the property are promptly and correctly done.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Maintains pool facilities as assigned.
- Maintains housekeeping equipment as needed.
- Responds to maintenance requests in the Casino and in the Hotel.
- Maintains a neat clean and organized work area in the engineering shop.
- Associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications not specified as preferred will be required*
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years experience in mechanics and/or electricity.
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Valid driver’s license.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to secure appropriate licensing from the gaming commission.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
Must be able to read, interpret and apply instructions and technical terminology furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:
- Talk and hear;
- See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;
- Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch and/or crawl;
- Handle objects, tools and controls; reach with arms and hands.
- Lift and/or move objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Operate equipment/machinery such as forklifts, floor buffer machines, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
- A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
- A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
- Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
- Moving mechanical and/or electrical components.
- Chemical solutions such as cleaning, polishing and lubricating compounds.

SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring operations of the venue and Associate performances are in accordance with Grand Casino Policy and Procedures and Gaming regulations, on an assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforces performance standards, policies and procedures as they relate to venue operations, monitors Food Server service on the dining floor. Ensures smooth and efficient operations on a continual basis.
- Ensures the highest possible standards of guest’s services and Associate relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner.
- Ensures compliance with all health and safety standards/regulations as well as all applicable beverage, Federal, State and Local laws/ordinances.
- Assists venue Manager with scheduling of Associate and ensuring correct staffing levels and adjustments are made in accordance with guest needs.
- Monitors job performance of all venue service Associates and provide feedback on the same to aid the Associate in developing and enhancing skills.
- Provide input to the venue Manager concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of improvement.
- Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
- Reviews and makes recommendations and suggestions in hiring, suspending, transferring, promoting, evaluating, disciplining and terminating all service Associates in a fair and equitable manner.
- Responsible for listening to evaluating and handling guest complaints in a way that satisfies the guest to their satisfaction.
- Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (Federal, State Compact, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as Grand Casinos’ internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
Promotes the following within the department and among all Associates:
- Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.
- Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Associates, by setting positive examples at all times.
- Instills an atmosphere that encourages Associates to share ideas, discuss concerns and resolve conflicts.
- Retains Associates through involvement in Associate Training & Development.
- Explains WHY we do things, in advance of doing them.
