Let your taste buds take a trip with our Winds “Chef’s Tour”, presenting a new four course menu each week, especially created by our Chef to feature an exciting variety of dishes not found on our regular menu.
To complement each Tour, a carefully selected Wine Flight is offered as well; a sampling of four different wines expertly chosen to enhance each course of the Chef’s Tour in turn.
The Winds Chef Tour
February 2 - 5
$30
Course One
Shrimp Toast
Crispy golden triangles with a top layer of chopped fresh shrimp blended with finely chopped tomatoes, green onions, water chestnuts, and ginger. Served with sweet chili and Dijon mustard sauces on the side.
Course Two
Chicken Peanut Salad
Deep green romaine lettuce tossed with shredded red and napa cabbages, carrot shreds, sliced green onions, and sliced grilled chicken breast in a Thai-style peanut sauce flavored with rice vinegar and soy sauce. Topped with toasted sliced almonds and fried rice stick noodles, along with sesame seeds and a light drizzle of chili oil.
Course Three
Oven Baked Salmon with Asian Plum Sauce
An oven-baked fresh salmon fillet lightly seasoned and served with a flavorful sauce made from plum wine blended with soy sauce, grated fresh ginger root, and other seasonings. Served with the Chef’s vegetable of the day, and your choice of potato or our wild rice blend pilaf.
Course Four
Lime Coconut Rice Pudding
Not your ordinary rice pudding! The rice is cooked in rich coconut cream flavored with lime zest and exotic kaffir lime leaves – a staple of Southeast Asian cuisine. Garnished with toasted shredded coconut.
Wine Flight
$12
Course One
Valley of the Moon Pinot Blanc
Inviting aromas of honeysuckle, peach and lychee nut. Integrated and rich fruit flavors of pear, apple, and nectarine lead to a lengthy finish balanced with zesty acidity.
Course Two
Michel Picard Beaujolais
Dark crimson in color, naturally low in tannin and its nose is unmistakable with its floral aromas and flavors of black cherry and raspberry with hints of violets and roses.
Course Three
Toasted Head Chardonnay
The nose offers ripe pineapple and peach aromas with toasted graham cracker. The palate has rich tropical fruit and luscious stone fruit flavor with a viscous mouth feel accented by toasted coconut, vanilla and butterscotch. The creamy finish lingers with hints of buttered toast and lemon zest.
Course Four
Bridgeview Blue Moon Oregon Riesling
Flavors of ripe apples, apricot nectar, and grapefruit with aromas of honeysuckle. Well balanced, lively and crisp.
