Business Account Executive – A Business Account Executive from Convention Sales will be your initial contact in event planning. The Business Account Executive will work with you to make all your meeting and hotel room reservations, coordinate shuttle service and recreational activities, settle terms and conditions and make payment arrangements. Once the Terms and Conditions of your event have been finalized and agreed upon, your Business Account Executive will send a copy to you for your signature. Should your event schedule change or cancel, your Business Account Executive will be the point of contact.

Banquet Coordinator –
A Banquet Coordinator will be assigned to your convention/meeting to coordinate all on-site details of the event. Approximately fourteen calendar days prior to your arrival date, your Banquet Coordinator will be in touch to review and finalize all meeting, food and beverage requirements. Your Banquet Coordinator will create a Banquet Event Order that will outline all details, including meeting times, room setups, audio-visual, food and beverage needs. The more information you can provide us with, the better we are able to prepare the service aspects of your event.

Function Rooms
The Banquet Coordinator reserves the right to assign function rooms based on the guaranteed number of attendees and the nature of the function. Final confirmation on a room can be made with the Banquet Coordinator at the time the attendance guarantee is given.

Room Rental Rates
Standard room rental includes: a one time standard setup of theater, classroom, u-shape, conference or banquet with table linen; one registration table; one head table and an ice water station. Standard rental is for a maximum of eight hours between the hours of 6am and 6pm. There is a 25% increase from standard rates for events lasting longer than eight hours, before 6am or after 6pm. Events that go past their scheduled end time are subject to additional labor fees.

Floor Plans and Seating
Your Banquet Coordinator can custom-create a room diagram specifically for your event. Standard setups include Theater, Classroom, U-Shape, Conference, Round Tables with No Backs to the Speaker and Banquet style. Banquet seating will be at our discretion unless otherwise specified.

Linen
We offer white as the standard color for table linens, as well as a variety of color cloth napkins for meal functions. Ask your Banquet Coordinator for available options. Other colors and inventory may be obtained at an additional charge.

Decorations
For banquet meal functions, tables will be set with a simple candle centerpiece. Your Banquet Coordinator can work with local florists to order floral arrangements should you desire. Glitter may not be used due to the difficulty of removing it from chairs and carpet.

Floor Safety
For the safety of all, cords and other tripping hazards must be taped down. Tape can be purchased from the Banquet Department.

Smoking and Tobacco Policy
All meeting rooms in the Convention Center are non-smoking. The pre-convene area is designated for smoking. A portion of the pre-convene area can be designated non-smoking for a conference that has booked all of the ballroom space. This request should be done through the Banquet Coordinator or Convention Sales Associate.

Banners and Signs
Contact your Banquet Coordinator about any banners or signs that need to be hung. Items may not be nailed, tacked, stapled or taped to the walls or ceilings, with the exception of Post-It paper. Use of the outside marquee or signage throughout the gaming floor for events must be approved by casino operations management.

Videotaping
Videotaping of the casino gaming floor, pull tabs, bingo hall or any marketing and promotional signage is prohibited. Any videotaping within the foyer, meeting room, hotel or venues within the facility, must be approved by casino management via written request one month prior to the event.

Weapons
Grand Casino Mille Lacs bans guns on the premises.

Audio / Visual and Equipment
Grand Casino Mille Lacs can help ensure success by coordinating all of your equipment, staging, lighting and electronic presentation needs. All Audio / Visual and equipment rental requests need to be communicated to the Banquet Coordinator one week prior to arrival. Any requests after the one week deadline are subject to availability and additional rates.

Internet
Wireless internet is available in the Convention Center.

Freight and Deliveries
Storage at Grand Casino Mille Lacs is limited. Advance freight deliveries will not be accepted. Some registration materials may be accepted no earlier than 2 days prior to your event. This should be arranged in advance with your Banquet Coordinator. Any registration materials should be labeled with the name of the event and the name of the group contact.
